Hello, my name is Sinan. I am a software engineer with a passion for developing technical tools and applications to solve everyday problems and improve everyday processes. I cherish the opportunity to interact with new frameworks and libraries.
Through my time at App Academy, I've had the opportunity to build full stack applications with everyday uses utilizing mainly Javascript and Ruby along with other technologies and frameworks. I aspire to continue this journey and grow as a software engineer, learning new technologies and constructing new solutions along the way.
HipTrip is full-stack clone of HipCamp, an online marketplace for camping experiences, built with PostGRESQL and Ruby on Rails on the backend and React on the frontend. Built with a Google Maps API implementation, HipTrip allows users to search for and book their next camping adventure.
StarJouster is a 2D arcade clone of the popular arcade platform game 'Joust' with a Star Wars Theme. The main purpose of the game is to score as many points as possible, by defeating sith lords in joust battles and looting their lightsabers. The player can control their character using the arrow keys to give direction, and by hitting the space key to fly. If lightsabers are not looted, sith lords will respawn and soon the player will be overwhelmed.
OwnProps.Match is a matching application to bring together people who are looking for pair programmers. Users are able to create a profile and input information regarding themselves like language preferences, experience, goals, etc... and will be able to see other user profiles in the form of cards and be able to swipe if they would like to match with them. Mutual likes create notifications for the users. This was a group project in which I acted as the backend lead.
